Fees Information

Individual Therapy

Please contact the practice to obtain current fees information. If you are accessing individual therapy with a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan, you will receive $89.65 back as a rebate for a 50 min sessions. The full fee is due at the time of the consultation and the rebate processed for you at the time of your appointment. Please check with your private health fund if you wish to claim a rebate from them instead of using Medicare, but note that you are not allowed to claim from both.

NDIS

If you have an NDIS plan in place, we can provide “Therapy Supports” including psychological therapy, assessment & training. The fees are set by the National Disability Insurance Agency and come out of your NDIS Plan funding (under Improved Daily Living). The sessions are 50 minutes in duration and there is no cost or gap fee for participants.

STEPP Program

STEPP is a multi-disciplinary program for those experiencing persistent pain, run in conjunction with Physiotherapist Rowena Field. Please contact the practice to obtain current fees information. The Psychology rebate is $89.65 per 50 min session and this can be processed for you at the time of your appointment. Please check with your private health fund if you wish to claim a rebate from them instead of Medicare. The number of sessions will vary depending on individual need, but as an estimate it usually takes 8-10 sessions to complete the program. For more information go to www.stepp.com.au.

COVID-19 Telehealth Services

If you are vulnerable to COVID-19 or cannot travel to the practice in person, we can offer you consultations via video or phone call. Similarly, SIRA (formally Workcover) and private health insurers have also approved the use of telehealth services. We are offering this option to both IS Psychology and STEPP clients.

Insurance

If you have an accepted claim with either SIRA (workers compensation), Comcare or DVA, this service is accredited to provide psychology services to you. For SIRA and Comcare claims we may need to confirm that your insurer is willing to fund the sessions, hence a referral letter and/or approval is required prior to commencement. Once the treatment is approved, there will be no out of pocket cost to the client.

Payment Options

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak we are only accepting credit/debit card for payment. You will be asked to securely enter your card details as part of our intake procedure and the fee will be charged at completion of each session.
If you have bank account details stored with Medicare we can process your rebate (if applicable) at completion of your session and it usually appears within 24 hours. A receipt will be emailed following each session.
